This is at South Street Seaport/Pier 17 in New York City. Actually one big tourist attraction, but it has some great views over the East River and you see Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge. And apparently they also have these lounge chairs where you can sit and, for instance, spent your afternoon reading the Sunday paper.
{Rose ~ from Oz found an even better website for South Street Seaport}
Very sweet couple Nellies, and I adore the chairs, they look very old but well maintained. Your link wouldn't work for me but I was able to easily google the location. Fabulous place, they've done a wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about the link, I've fixed it! And yes, these chairs are nice eh? It was quite crowded and it was hard to find a few empty ones :-)
DeleteWat een leuke foto, het lijkt bijna een plaatje uit de twintiger jaren. Ik herinner me dat wij daar ook gezeten hebben maar heb toen geen stoelen gezien, we zaten op de houten trappen van het uitzicht te genieten.
ReplyDeletewhat a grand way to spend the day. love it!
ReplyDeleteI know South Street Seaport but I missed the deck chairs.
ReplyDeleteWhat's more relaxing than a comfortable spot with a nice view, reading the Sunday paper?? Great photo.
ReplyDeleteWat een heerlijke plek om te zitten lezen...
